Wayne holds a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from the Durban University of Technology.
He joined Toyota Tsusho Africa in 2003 and has specialised in Sales & Procurement, Production, Logistics and New Business Development.
He has extensive automotive industry experience and has been instrumental in the establishment of various business models within Toyota Tsusho Africa.
Wayne was appointed as Managing Director in April 2020.
Isao Kawahata holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce from Doshisha University in Japan.
He began his career at Toyota Tsusho Corporation (TTC) in 1999 and was mainly dedicated to establishing a global automotive parts supply chain which included developing global logistics networks and managing supply-and-demand functions.
During his TTC tenure, Isao Kawahata has also been assigned to Thailand for over a decade. In this role, he excelled as a regional leader by helping clients solve complex problems and developing new business opportunities.
Isao Kawahata was appointed Deputy Managing Director of Toyota Tsusho Africa in March 2024.
Shaun is a Chartered Accountant and holds an Honours Bachelor of Accounting Science qualification from the University of South Africa.
He has extensive experience in Commerce and industry, having started his career at Sasol and later joined the Massmart Group as a Financial manager at Makro South Africa before joining Toyota Tsusho Africa in 2009.
Shaun has been the Chief Financial officer and an Executive Director at Toyota Tsusho Africa since April 2020.
